Any time we see someone come in every three months with a thrown-out back, it’s probably because of a posterior pelvic tilt with an opposing spinal curve.
In layman’s terms, your pelvis is tilted excessively forward, and your spine changes its curve to compensate, which is a very unhealthy way for your bones to behave. It’s usually caused by an excess of sedentary behavior, especially things like sitting at a desk for long periods of time with poor posture.
We get a lot of people walking through our doors, and at least once a week, someone comes in bent over with pain and unable to stand up because they’ve thrown out their back yet again.
We know what we’re going to find, and, better yet, it’s an easy fix for our licensed massage therapists. Using the IBAR method, we assess the situation and correct your posterior pelvic tilt and spine curve, quickly and easily.
